2 days and 500 kilometres further...... The game continues, it seems that Saitama and Chiba prefactures are the perfect locations for my car hunting journeys. Just outside of Tokyo it seems car heaven has emerged (not to be mistaken for drivers heaven becausse it would quallify more for drivers Hell).
We went on a little trip to the ocean and countryside and just kept finding more and more classic cars rusting away. It is funny to see the faces of the owners when I ask them if I can take pictures and then point at the rusted ones. Becausse they are in the trade for so long they only see a pile of rubbish standing in the way and don't understand why I don't take pictures of the newer cars. After I explain to them that the rusted away ones show character and history like the lines in an old person's face they start thinking about it and have to agree. I have met some interesting people so far and had some nice conversations (with the translating help of my wife offcourse).
Tomorrow I will go to an actuall classic car meeting, I am curious to see the local piston heads gather.
